Structure

Indonesian foundation law requires three separate organs, and we treat that separation as a working control rather than a formality.

Pembina
Board of Advisors. Highest authority. Appoints and dismisses the other two organs, approves the annual work plan and budget, and decides on changes to the statutes.
Pengurus
Executive Board. Runs the foundation and represents it in dealings with others. Prepares the annual activity and financial reports.
Pengawas
Supervisory Board. Independent oversight of the executive board. Receives and reviews the annual reports, and may suspend an executive board member.

Transparency commitments

These are commitments, not claims about what we have already produced.

  • Annual activity and financial reporting. The executive board reports annually to the supervisory board, as the statutes require.
  • A public annual report covering our first full year, published on this site.
  • Independent audit by a public accountant once we receive government or foreign funding at the level at which Indonesian law requires it, and voluntarily before that point if a funder asks.
  • Methods and sources published with every finding, so that our work can be checked rather than taken on trust.
  • Funding disclosed. Where a piece of work is funded or commissioned, we say so on the publication itself.

As of today the foundation has been operating for less than a year and has not yet completed a reporting cycle, so there is no annual report to publish. We would rather say that than leave the section out.
